Opening of the tomp of Neferhotep

AFTER YEARS OF LASER RESTORATION, THE TOMB OF NEFERHOTEP IN EGYPT HAS BEEN OPENED

THE ELABORATE WORKS ARE ON DISPLAY IN A SPECIAL EXHIBITION AT THE MUSEUM IN LUXOR

The wall paintings in Neferhotep’s burial chamber were covered in a layer of greasy black soot. German restorers have used laser cleaning technology for the first time in Egypt. The burial chamber has now been opened together with an exhibition in the museum in Luxor.

Here you can find more information about restoration with laser technology.
