cleanLASER offers various applications in the field of e-mobility, e.g. adhesive pretreatment of battery packs, module housings and flanges for the assembly of batteries and housing components as well as the pretreatment of formed aluminium sheet components before welding. The sealing areas at the battery tray/lid contact point can also be removed without leaving any residue and can thus be optimally joined.
As a rule, the battery modules used must also be contacted at certain points on the battery tray. The high-precision lasers are an advantage here, as mass points can be generated reliably in less than a second and with an accuracy of just a few hundredths of a millimeter. A special, two-stage process is used for the partial stripping of enamelled copper wire for contacting. Two laser wavelengths are used. A special optical system enables the all-round processing of wires in throughfeed or the all-round stripping of lacquer in the end area.
