Removal of oxide layers and anodic decoating
Oxide layers as well as anodized layers absorb the laser light particularly well and can be evaporated very effectively. The plasma generated during evaporation simultaneously tears away the transparent layers which are located above the oxide layer on the material, resulting in an active, completely contamination-free surface which immediately oxidizes again homogeneously under the influence of atmospheric oxygen.
The metal surface is optimally prepared for subsequent bonding, welding or coating processes due to the solid connection of this newly created layer with the base material.
