Laser Beam Welding in Vacuum

Laser Beam Welding in Vacuum

Based on the cleanCELL now available at our partner LaVa-X

Welding spatters and seam pores are a thing of the past thanks to laser welding in negative pressure. Due to the vacuum, which can be generated in less than one second depending on the size of the component, it is possible to make the welding process much less spattery. At the same time, the welding depth increases significantly during welding. Particularly in the demanding welding of flanges in the area of sensor production, low-warp and non-porous seam qualities can thus be achieved that were previously only possible with technically very complex electron beam welding. When welding under negative pressure, the necessary laser power can also be significantly reduced and therefore saves money when purchasing a laser system and sustainably protects the environment.

LaVa-X offers industrial production cells for small and large series applications based on the established and proven cleanCELL series. The modular cells can be used for both radial and axial welding seams and, in addition to their modular design, also offer vacuum and laser technology from a single source. As a solution provider, LaVa-X advises customers in the field of system design and also accompanies pre-series trials with a team of experienced engineers. LaVa-X also offers laser welding services.
