In February 1997 Dr. Winfried Barkhausen and Dipl. Ing. Dipl. Kfm. Edwin Büchter founded Clean-Lasersysteme GmbH. At that time, the company started off with four employees in the basement rooms of the Institute for Laser Technology (ILT) in Aachen.
In 2010, the Managing Directors were awarded the German Environmental Prize of the DBU for the sustainable laser process.
Today more than 100 employees work in our own building and in rented areas in Herzogenrath-Kohlscheid. Another production facility is currently under construction.
cleanLASER now has about 20 distribution partners and over 1,000 laser systems in use worldwide.
