Research and Development

The “Research and Development” department invests in the future of laser technology. In the in-house laboratory, numerous projects are carried out either in-house or on behalf of the customer, often in close cooperation with renowned institutes. The R&D department is particularly strong in these areas:

    • Measurement and process analysis technology
    • Laser beam source development
    • Surface treatment

In addition to in-house research and product optimization, the R&D strategy also provides for consistent analysis of market and technology trends. In addition, the company participates in joint industrial research projects (AiF) as well as publicly funded projects (e.g. BMWi, BMBF or DBU).

In addition, we work intensively with the following independent research institutions, among others:

    • Fraunhofer-Institut für Fertigungstechnik und Angewandte Materialforschung, IFAM Bremen
    • Universität Kassel
    • Technische Universität, TU Dresden
    • Forschungszentrum, FJZ Jülich
    • Innovent Technologieentwicklung, Jena
    • Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule, RWTH Aachen
    • Fachhochschule Aachen, FH Aachen
    • Fraunhofer-Institut für Lasertechnik, ILT Aachen

These institutes have their own cleanLASER technology and can therefore carry out targeted experiments in the field of laser beam surface treatment.

In addition, we cooperate bilaterally with other institutes and thus offer our customers the opportunity to scientifically verify the results of laser-technical studies and experiments.
